I’ve been reading the biography of Sir Clive Woodward, the England Rugby coach who coached the England team from 1997-2004, taking them to victory in the 2003 World Cup. He has local associations for Synergy, attending Loughborough University and later playing for Leicester Tigers. I am not yet half way through the book but I am impressed with the way in which Clive combined his love of sport with his learning about team management through his business activities in sales in Xerox and in running a leasing company when he lived in Australia.
