Comfort Zones, Stretch Zones and Wilderness Skills


Expanding our comfort zone

Many things make us feel good about ourselves: knowing we have done a good job or been helpful to someone or when we are praised for what we’ve done. We feel an inner peace and live within a space that can be called a comfort zone. Each person’s comfort zone will have a unique size and shape. We can extend our comfort zone by experimenting with new behaviours and different ways of relating to other people. I call this going into the stretch zone.
